Bajio Sunglasses Named Presenting Sponsor of the Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series and 100 Series
Decatur, Ala. (December 27, 2021) – The Alabama Bass Trail (ABT) is pleased to announce Bajio Sunglasses has been named a presenting sponsor of the 2022 ABT Tournament Series and 100 Series.
“I recently read an article that was published on April 6, 2021, where Bajio Sunglasses CEO AL Perkinson was interviewed. One of the questions was ‘How high tech is your lens lab?’ His response was ‘Our technology is sophisticated but our techniques are old school.’ I like that because I feel like their ideology matches with the ABT’s principles perfectly. We are still somewhat new but we offer sophisticated technology for a regional tournament trail and our techniques are old school where every decision we make is done with the anglers, host cities and sponsors at the forefront. We are excited to be chosen by Bajio Sunglasses as one of their partnerships in the freshwater fishing industry,” said ABT Program Director Kay Donaldson.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bajio Sunglasses will have a booth at all ABT and ABT 100 series events in 2022. The Alabama Bass Trail will feature the company on all tournament related advertising, website, social media channels and collateral materials.

Now in its ninth season, the ABT tournament series is held on eleven different lakes of the ABT beginning February 19, 2022, with the championship tournament to be held on October 21-22, 2022.

Hosted by the city of Wetumpka, the championship tournament will be held October 21-22, 2022, on Lake Jordan.
Returning for the second season, the ABT 100 Series is held on three different lakes of the ABT beginning January 8, 2022, attracting professional and amateur anglers from across the United States who will compete for a $25,000 first place prize.
